DERM have professional analytical equipment and sample preparation facilities, allowing to carry out comprehensive radionuclides measurements in the environment, e.g. HPGe Semi-conductor Gamma spectrometry detectors, high efficient low background liquid scintillation counters TriCarb and Triatler; alpha spectrometers and alpha-beta radiometers, and also modern basic sample preparation facilities including Freeze drying equipment and high speed centrifuges, and also basic radiochemical laboratories.

The instrument is precalibrated for over 120 different colorimetric measurements and has provisions for user entered calibrations as well as future HACH methods.
Currently used for:
  • Ammonia analysis, using Nessler reagent method;
  • Optical characteristics analysis (Absorbance).

  • Measurement of activity of beta-emitting radionuclides in samples of foodstuffs, soil, water, as well as of filters and samples prepared by the selective radiochemical extraction;
